Hi I have been looking for a bike to start trials but nothing much has come up in S,Wales.
Ther is a 1999 GG250 which has just surfaced. It is 6 speed with hydraulic clutch. Are there any issues with the older bikes I should be aware of, or should I just wait for a newer model to come along?
Thanks

as long as it is in good condition its a good bike to start with.more reliable than a early pro.if you get at a good price you will almost get your money back when you sell it .

No trials bikes are made that well (regardless of the brand), so often they are all pretty worn out especially 11-12 years old!
However in terms of robustness and general ridability the 'pre pro' models are better bikes than the later models.
If its a good example go for it...

Solid, reliable bike, good for a beginner to bash about on. As with any used bike, assume nothing has been done in terms of maintenance and service everything, especially all bearings (steering stem, linkage etc.).
