I would say its an 01, front caliper and rear caliper mounted above the swing arm show that its not an 02 or newer, and the fuel cap position is different to the 2000 which had it at the same angle as the frame, not level like the 01.

Hope that helps

For the mudguard I think it would be best to go new from splatshop or whatever shop you can find it cheapest, as for stickers, I know there are people on ebay doing 02 style sticker sets for £37 obviously they will not be perfect but they would get the bike looking smarter! I am thinking of doing this with my 01 at some point.

I could't find a 01 on splat and if i'm going to do it it would have to be the proper stickers for the year.

As I recall the '01 mudguards came with decals applied(less seat) and a clearcoat laquer applied. They were nice looking, but the clearcoat did not hold up too well, and cost a lot. Add the blue plastic does discolor badly where it bends.

Good bike, but if I was going to bash one on a regular basis, I would put a silver(later)mudguard onit and some later, or custom, stickers!

That bike appears to be in pretty good nick, btw!

Thanks
I got it about two years ago as my first ever bike and never knew what year it was (had a rough idea) it has done me well so far.
It has been in the shed for about a year now and i want to get back in to trials so would like to tart it up abit.
It started second kick which suprised me after a year in a garden shed.
So what year guards will fit it then?
