Hi
does anyone know what the age is before the SACU allow young riders to start riding four strokes, or do you have to have a bike license first, which is another point. How do you get a bike license?
thanks

If you Put a foot down, use it to your advantage. If you put two feet down, just push.

you can ride a 4t in B class as scorpa makes a 125 one.but i suppose you mean a 250 4t. you cant ride one in youths till you are 16 and you can get a adult licence. as for licence do you mean comp or road.

Be it four stroke or dratted stinkwheel the SACU does not use engine type as a limiting factor, only capacity, which can be seen on their website info page here http://www.sacu.co.u...trials_info.htm
By young I assume you mean sub-17 so no "bike licence" is needed. If an adult, then the rule requiring a road licence seems to have been dropped - very sensibly as you could have been a champion trials rider for ten years then told you needed a road licence to prove your competence.

thanks guys, yes a road license and yes to the 250 4t (and i didnt relise scorpa made a 125 4t)
anyway, i'm 16 so could I ride one or would it have to be in the A class, and i wouldn't need a road license...

so according to that i actually have to be riding youth A right now, but can you ride adult B with anything at my age. Also my club doesn't have dedicated sections to youth just A and B routes as we don't have an awful lot of riders.

on your licence it will have A CLASS AND YOUR NUMBER.if you want to ride as an adult you will have to send your licence to the sacu and say you want a adult novice licence.hope this helps willie.
