If the best promoters with boat loads of experience can’t make a go of it, how can small clubs with little or no experience, the ones paying the bills aren’t the ones making the rules.
I think more attention needs to be put on the domestic championships, with the top riders from each country invited to the world championship run over 3 / 5 days at the end of the season, location to be a different country each year.

Yes, you could shrink the series OR you could aggressively market it, grow it and bring in some real money for the riders and promoters. It's possible.

To be honest it doesn't matter about real money just some would help some to get there and maybe increase numbers?

Some money for the pro class would sure help draw more riders to the class and probobly lead to bigger money and more pro riders pushing each other to greater levels of skill.
