have a read at what these guys did,,,some good tips on here.

Yup, good info on that site. That is where I got the idea to mod my bike. Hope it works. It should though. Lowering the peg mount an inch along with the peg mod brings the pegs in line with the rear axle, according to my crude measurements (just like real Trials bikes). I'm having the extensions cut out at work tomorrow. With any luck, I'll keep you updated.

Had the guys in the fab shop at work cut out the frame extensions with their plasma cutter. They did a much better job than I could have done at home with my cutting torch. A bit of grinding, and it's almost ready -

Crudely locating the extension, and it's mig welding time!

I did not take many pics during the welding process. Had 94 Rock blaring out of the radio, cold Tecate in hand, and the mig crackling, so I was in the zone. Slathered the mess with Mopar Hemi Orange paint (to hide my workman-like welding), and we have a left footpeg mount!

Not too bad. I'll relocate the right mount this weekend.

I'm pretty excited to try it out. Next event is coming up soon.

My welder has put a supporting metal behind the lower extensions to protect them if the frame is touching stones.

Nice. Looks like you lowered yours further than I did. Cleaner work also.
