Yes I made the rear seat unit/mudguard, wasnt to hard. I love these freaky different bikes. They were built by people with Passion and who weren't afraid to throw their savings at something different.I admire the new Greaves bike designer and owner. He's bitten off more than he can chew but he's got real balls and his passion is strong.I know passion doesn't pay the bills but he's done something I'd love to do.He should have gone more way out futuristic in his design . That may have got a better response.

I'm officially projectless at the mo. I've got an old Skywalker which needs a major overhaul , but ill leave it for spares. I don't know about you guys but ever since big brother hit the scene along with other reality trash my tv has been hijacked by my wife. So its watch garbage and turn into a cabbage watching morons on x factor or crack on with my own bike stuff. Luckily she's happy with me to keep getting more. I've got a few ideas and a couple arranged to get here by end next month. I'm having ethanol problems at the mo which is taking up loads of time, sealing tanks and redoing very tricky paint jobs.

Are you selling any of these aircooled monos?

First let me congratulate you on a cracking restoration. I love something a little different and this is a rare one indeed.

Secondly I'd like to share a story with you, unfortunately due to the time that has passed and the obvious similarities between the Alfer and Alpha I can't be certain which bikes I saw!!!
I used to practice a lot a Mick Andrews and was there the weekend before the British world round. Also there practising was several top 15 World riders including 2 guys (rider and minder?) on the Alfer/Alpha. After a few hours riding we were in Mick's garage chatting and the Alfer? boys popped in to say goodnight and after a brief chat they left leaving the rare factory bikes with Mick for safe keeping overnight. We had a really good look around the bikes and the temptation must have been too much to resist as before long a certain gentleman who shall remain nameless decided to give the bikes a quick test!!

I've really enjoyed looking at your website - great bikes. I was up in the loft the other day getting the Chrismas tree down and found an old copy of Motor Cycle News - the first thing I read in it was a report from the May 1992 French World Round - Luis Gallach (from Spain) finished 19th on the Alfer (spelt with an 'f'!).
