have a 59 c15t distributor model running points and capacitor ignition how do i replace the points gubbins with an electonic sensor do i need to fit a battery and buy a boyer black box and sensor or can u just get the sensor for mushroom and wire it into the capacitor ignition system which im assuming is 12 volt as its running a 12 volt capacitor. just want shot of the prince of darkness points so i can start the bugga easier ! hopefully !. anybody got a back wheel /hub with a bolt on sprocket to fit as its got a road wheel at mo and is too high geared, 46 shud be 56, sprocket is cast into hub.

Fitted Boyer many years ago,(to a B40) no battery needed, everything came with the kit. Easy to fit, time etc.

Electrex also do a kit thats supposed to be good, as is PVL.

thats a neat set up :thumbup: . i was always under the impresion that boyers neaded a battery....how wrong was i :shutup: .

I would go for the Electrex world system which goes on the end of the crank,very accurate,reliable and invisible.
