I am afraid at least one of these posts saddens me a bit lads
This online licensing has been needed for years. Many, including posts on TC have asked us to get on with it, as they should
There was a lot of consultation with Clubs via Centres and although there were some obvious snags ( again oft debated) in maintaining the link between club and rider, at end of it all the idea of issuing Clubs with dedicated numbers etc is being put into place. Hopefully it will work well, if not can be tuned and altered.
As with all thinks new , there will be teething troubles for sure, we may even get other problems along the way, but surely this is moving in right direction?
Many posts acknowledge this and seem to confirm this is how we move forward . No one has to do it on line, you can still do it the old paper way if you wish.
Most posts seem positive, thank you for that
Some will have teething troubles, please be patient
The dedicated numbers have been sent out to Centre Clubs in the order the Centres appear in handbook ie Alphabetical
So – Clubs in Cornwall, Cheshire would have had them first moving on to others more or less in order , so Clubs in Centres like mine , –WSW would be one of last to receive them. We had ours yesterday
PHB – Bradford: You are in the Yorkshire Centre - “ Y” is last but one in book.
Clubs in Yorkshire should now have had them – they certainly left Rugby
I cannot help thinking that to have just said “ |WE have not had ours yet would have been sufficient”
I think: “ its that bloody good our club havent even got the numbers to give to members, as normal ACU !!!!! is not really called for
I should also add that this is from a Club member of a Club, who recently posted the most despicable post on their Web site I have ever seen in all my years as a rider/organiser or administrator which in effect belittled the efforts of hard working people from another club and even hinted at attracting Observers from them for an event running on same day
Please get your own house in order first or at least have a little courtesy
John,
I do have one question that you might be able to answer for me.
I have heard from a rider today who tells me he renewed his licence at the ACU stand at the Dirt Bike show last week and will therefore not be needing to join the club nextyear.
Is it true that riders can go straight to the ACU and bypass joining a club?
