2012 Lineup

Interesting lineup for 2012. Dovizioso from Honda to Yamaha, and there appears to be a BMW and Aprilia in the lineup.

3. Jorge Lorenzo - Factory Yamaha
4. Ben Spies - Factory Yamaha
5. Valentino Rossi - Ducati Marlboro
6. Nicky Hayden - Ducati Marlboro

8. Andrea Dovizioso - Tech 3 Yamaha
9. Colin Edwards - Forward Racing (Suter-BMW CRT)
10. Hector Barbera - Pramac Ducati
11. Karel Abraham - Cardion AB Ducati
12. Alvaro Bautista - San Carlo Honda Gresini
13. Anthony West - Speed Master (?-Aprilia CRT)

Looks like a pretty slim grid if thats a complete list, gone are the days of a decent sized field & I don't hold much hope of any improvement when the prototypes are phased out as has been talked about for the future

Pramac down to one bike and no suzuki, thought the new rules were going to increase entrants

A very slim grid. I did not know BMW were in moto GP .... is that new?

Not an official entry from BMW or Aprilia, they're claiming rule bikes which are basically superbikes with aftermarket frames & lap times around 3-5seconds a lap slower going on the tests earlier in the year

Not a GP bike and it is a Slow bike?!?!? why would they bother?

Because they have to try & save the class somehow now that the price of running 4 strokes has proven to be too high for most teams. Don't think it'll work though

LQQKING forward to another great season. Especially with the introduction of an all 4 stroke line up. MotoGP.com has given us the best video coverage, ever.

they could try no stop, even Yeadon and Guisely are next year...
