New 315 Owner

Evening all just bought myself a 315 needs a bit of work but the engine sounds and runs fine and it was cheap enough.
First couple of questions, the chap i bought it from said it was a 98/99 model how do i tell for sure what the year is?
Also how much oil does the gear box hold?
think that's enough for now :thumbup:

what make are the forks it Showa or Pioli?
is the rear brake caliper ontop of swing arm or inside?

500ml of oil. I've put Castrol G3 ATF in today and it seems pretty good. You can get the year from the serial number.... Search function is your friend :)
There was a post about it not long ago I think.

Not sure what make they are but there not the rainbow type there all chrome, and from what i can remember the caliper is on top of the swinging arm.

Paoli have the mudguard bracket wrapped around fork leg, Showa mudguard bracket are cast into leg Rainbow forks were 2000-2001+

Check the 10th digit of the VIN number

1997 = V 1998 = W 1999 = X
