Hi peeps,

Got my sherco 290 2001 model yesterday, I'm used to road bikes and crossers but I find the gear lever is too far from my toes, roughly an inch.

Can shorter ones be purchased?

Ive only ridden the bike around the street with trainers so I know boots will be slightly longer but I still would rather the lever be closer.

Anyone else the same? Or is it meant to be a fair distance away ?

Thanks in advance

You don't want to accidentally knock it in to neutral when riding a section, they are meant to be away from your boot.

all like that, dont worry, you will get the hang of changing gear stood on one leg. if you wanting to travel between sections set off in 3rd or 4th.

Ok. I can change gear with one foot on the peg. Guess I will have to get used to it.
