having a 20 year lay off from trials i've been bitten by the bug again, owing to going to watch the talmag trial last weekend,oh by the way im coming up 52 ,and also i dont have the money for a british bike now, however ive been offered a rtx 200 for about £400.the guy says the engine is"minsk"and the parts are widely available, hmmm, well maybe in europe but not here.i do sort of remember when they came out, sort of a cheap and cheerful affordable bike.anyway, anyone reckon its a good buy?or waste of time.thanks guys.

Hi Tony
Don't think they've much power but to be honest I've never had a shot on one. You may want to take it up a few hills and find out before you buy.

Hi Tony, think you'd be better off going for something more popular and waiting till you've got more like £1500.Cheap bikes often end up costing to much to put right, specially if the owners haven't been good at maintenance.Go to some local events, talk to the riders, you'll soon see something suitable.Any 250 about 4/5 years old will be fine if its been local and looked after

thanks husky, however, owing to me already owning two bikes a third will have to be cheap, and a good luck buy
,i have quite a bit of knowledge luckily so ill just have to take a shot at something cheap,im amazed at the prices now,i got my fantic for £250 20 years ago now theyre something like 12-1300sovs
however that was cheap then and it was a good bike too,i used it for about a year of feet up,and the only trouble i had was when it rolled backwards and started backwards
a backwards wheelspin used to raise a few eyebrows and make me sing suprano for a while too.ouch!!right, first thing is a wanted add on the link on here and see what occurs.thanks
