Today
First CABESTANY
2nd Fajardo
3rd Raga
4th Bou lost it on 2nd lap , dropped huge marks for him. Started bad on section 4 when he hit a marker hard and argued with observer for 5 minutes. Bou shouting at Carlos Casas saying words to effect of "listen to me". Repeatedly, whilst minder in step below was banging Casas knee trying to get his attention also.. They were DESPERATE TO CHANGE THE RESULT but no it was a 5.f The minder grabbed my smart phone and replayed the video I took showing Bou fiving and knew it was over and walked off.
Jack SHEPARD CAME THIRD. DABIL NOT FAR FROM PODIUM.

VERY BIG SECTIONS NICE TO SEE ANOTHER GUY WIN. THEY WERE OVERJOYED

Thanks gasgas249uk, for the explanation and the video offer...but it was a clear five, cause he hit a market with the back wheel. I can't understand Toni and his minder shouting to me more than 5 minutes and trying to change my decision...It's a pity for them....

No more contract..no more Montesa bike  :) ..but still a five...as it was from another good riders. I'ts difficult to be a good & fair observer, I don't like put fives, but don't understand why Toni and his minder where shouting (nearly crying)..more than 5 minuts to me and in front so many people...and telling silly things....

Carlos , It was quite something to watch !.

I remember thinking that ..is this part of the qualification for being World Champion ...how hard you argue for the marks to be changed ?.Asking for explanation is one thing, 5 minutes of loud voice is another.

Of course it was a five. The flag was on a wire and it swung out of the way after it was hit. If the flag had been on a stick it would have snapped. Bou and the minder certainly seemed to be arguing that the flag and wire just span around in the hole in the rock.My Spanish isnt that good and i was a distance off, but thats what it looked like.
The video shows the 5. I was worried the minder (who was fired right up) was going to throw my phone on the floor after he saw the 5 on it. If he had, that would have been the end of his day minding. He didnt- he did show a good aptitude for using android . LOL.
He saw the video , knew it was over and left.
I did video part of the argument after i thought (look at them go!). I was constantly battling with my pathetic 4gig SD and had to delete it and my Beegees album to make space for more videos . Here are some more pics of the trial , not of the argument.

I was impressed with the quality of the minders.

Was Bou on to much Tourine ! LOL

lets see the video, with hindsight a yellow card would have helped if just touched protruding from the pocket, seen this a couple of times.
whilst i can understand frustration at a near miss/hit hes going to win the championship early ffs, whats the problem?
