For some reason I had it in my mind that it was magnesium but can't find anything to back this up. Still looking to powdercoat my frame so just need to know what it is made of before I get quotes. Aluminium is easier to powder coat than magnesium ... now my only worry is that the heat of the powder coaters oven doesn't make the glue disappear and the front end fall off my bike Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most of the "Factory R" models: the material is magnesium. By the way, Alex Ballesta is not the OSSA Export Manager. He left the brand 4 month ago due to personal reasons. He founded BTWICE Engineering with an ex-engineer from OSSA. But he is giving an excelent service by answering questions and giving advice on OSSA bikes. And he is very quick replying the emails! I think he is still in Canada helping the Canadian OSSA importer and attending to some motorcycle trade shows.
