Anyone Removed The Fuel Pump From Tr280?

I don't know for sure but they look like push and twist, kinda like a childproof twist top on top of a pill bottle

Have tried that ( maybe I haven't done it correctly though ) but no joy. They definitely push in a bit but won't come out. Scared to break them as no doubt they wont be cheap.

Will ring the importer tomorrow and ask

Can't see from your photo, but looks similar to a plumbing fitting, try pushing pipe in, if there is a collet pull it in as well. Then try and remove pipe.

All sorted now .... In the female side there are 4 'hooks'. You need a tool to push in to open them up .

I made one from a felt tip pen lid

Nice - thanks! These are the exact same connectors on the KTM 690 fuel injection system.

I have looked on Ebay and you can get the tools very cheaply but if you are like me and have no patience and want things done 'RIGHT NOW' .... the pen lid is ideal

Yes there is a plastic inline filter in there

That is what you can see in the pic

So it looks like to replace that, you need to pull the engine?

I don't even see that filter listed in the parts manual.
