motopelli
I'm putting my 300 back together and got the engine in and a new chain installed. The chain rubs on the new Falcon shocks. The old Marzocchi shock showed wear on the body from the chain. I'm thinking the rear wheel spacers may be wrong. The right side spacer is about 10mm long and the left is about 33mm. My 240 spaces the wheel further to the left by about 7mm, I'm not sure if they should be the same. Does anyone have a 300 that they could measure the spacers on or otherwise have any input? I need to either move the wheel/hub slightly to the left or get different shocks. I don't know yet how well the chain lines up as I need to remove the chain guard to inspect. Any input would be appreciated Wayne
scorpa250
Hi they all did that , some people bend the lower shock bracket out to clear the chain . Richard Allen has made some rear swinging arms for the 300 to stop this problem www.allensusedtrialsspares.co.uk Regards Scorpa250
motopelli
Thanks Scorpa. As it turns out, the cheapest solution is to have the shocks reworked so they can be mounted conventionally. That should do the trick
