Please don't tell me I have to split the engine halves. just put it back together after main bearing replacement. . was hoping I can somehow pop it out and press new one in. It'a 2004 model

Hi dnym, Yep, just done this. The annoying thing was the postage on the seal cost more than the seal itself, lucky I ordered two. Sherco 07. Removed sprocket drilled small hole in seal screwed in a self tapping screw and as I screwed in seal came out. Fitted new seal in normal way. Might be an idea to take the sharp point off the screw.

Cheers Taff

The seal is a spare for me or one of my mates. Its only a couple of bucks and available from a regular bearing supplier. I don't know who or where you are but I'm sure the post would cost more than the seal if you bought it local.
