Lbhbul, aka Larry, saved me on this one!!!! His theory was that the cylinder liner had to be leaking air. As soon as the engine heated up it was sucking air between the liner and the jug. We are not sure why, but it is.

Larry was kind enough to source me a new cylinder, Mahle piston, and rings. Heck, he even had it bored, fitted the rings, and shipped it to me. Over the past few weeks Larry and I have spent many an hour talking on the phone and I now consider him a great friend. Thank you Larry!!!

The engine now runs beautifully using the carb off of my good bike. Not so good with the other carb. It has some kind of issue. Another chapter to this story begins.
