Would run, then stop, then slow, then run etc Bike was getting very hot so called it a day to save damage I've had a look on Tc forums and seems to be capacitor ? Assumption correct? benbeta23 Posted July 12, 2014 Report Share Posted July 12, 2014 It's located in the wiring loom near the carb, I think it's to the left hand side tucked in near the frame, If I remember correctly. The capacitor you need is 4700uf 25v, Or you can use a high voltage, On our bike we have a 35v one fitted, Only difference is the fan spins a bit quicker, You can buy them from Maplin or eBay, Or any decent electrical shop, They are about £1 If it is the capacitor that has gone wrong, The fuel tap won't work on the correct position (Upwards) either, Check for this. john b Posted July 14, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 14, 2014 took capacitor off tonight and one of the terminals had snapped off - so hopefully an easy fix !
