Evo 4T Carb Adjustment

I have an 2011 Evo 300 4T and would like to turn th eidle up a tad. Are the mixure screws on the bottom of the carb? What is an easy way to set them? Does the carb need to be taken off or rotated sideways to access the screws?

Any ideas on an easy way to turn up the idle would be appricated.

Thanks

Tom

G'day Tom,

The idle adjustment knob is the black knob on the right hand side of the carby that has a silver spring on it about 1.5 inches long. The spring sits vertically and runs down beside the bowl and has the knob on end.

Rotate to adjust idle speed.

The Owner's Manual and a pic of the adjustment knob for setting idle is on Page 74 of this...

Too be honest I cant remember which way, has not been touched for some time. If idle doesn't go in the desired direction go the other way.

You have a bit of leeway in the spec so if it suits you to have slightly lower or higher.

My wife preferred the idle about 100 lower in the beginning (last Jan) but in last few months it has been at 1200 (she has improved her clutch control).
