laird387
Hi, Recently Norman Shepherd has been enjoying classic trials on a very tidy 249cc Francis-Barnett - but in conjunction with Barry Robinson a test session was arranged and photographed in detail - and I shall shortly be posting images on 'tc' in the Offroad Archive section with full details - and then telling the story with even more pictures in ORRe-Issue8. In the meantime, enjoy this Barry Robinson image of Norman riding his Fanny-B in a recent Sammy Miller series trial - which series, by the way, is also being told in serialised form in forthcoming ORRe issues, with hundreds of classic images from various events in the popular series over the years. And don't forget - there are no watermarks in ORRe and subscribers can usually have copies of the images free of charge......... Enjoy.
laird387
Hi, Sorry for the misleading subterfuge above - but there is so much skull-duggery in the news and magazine world at the moment, that spoof trails have to be laid to catch the unwary........... The real story is that Rob Shepherd is looking for a new mount and Barry Robinson set up a test session with the kind help of Mick Grant, who brought his current very interesting Bantam over from Louth, for Rob to sample, on Norman's farm, with our old friend Peter Gaunt along with his TLM Honda for comparison. The story will be told in the ORRe-8, which will be live in a couple of weeks but in the meantime, here is a picture of Rob trying the amazing little Bantam. Suffice to say that there are a couple of Bantams on order that will be coming Rob and Norman's way. Interesting that, the version currently being used is derived from the old BSA Bushman, a version designed specifically for the Australian sheep farms - suited to shepherds, it seems..........
