Hello , I'm Martin and three weeks into trials !

My sons are Tom and Harry - toms 11 and Harry's 9

Got Tom a beta rev 3 125 and Harry has a gas has 80

I had to join them so got a beta rev 3 250 three weeks ago

I've just changed all air filters , gearbox oil (only took 550 cc in the beta ? Didn't seem much ??)

New plugs and a good clean

I've always been into road bikes so any tips on maintenance would be great !

Thanks and looking forward to the forum for advice !

Hi and welcome, from memory 550 cc is correct, but I think some people recommend only using 500 cc to give better clutch action. If you check out American Beta (just google it) all the user manuals and workshop manuals you will ever need are available for download.

Street bikes have a whole lot more moving parts to worry about and trials bikes are pretty stripped down in comparison so maintenance is pretty easy. Probably the biggest thing is clean fuel and air filters. next are the bearings in the suspension linkages in the rear.

Brakes, bearings, levers and linkages get a lot more dirt and water in them than street bikes so keep your eye on them. Good news is a bad wheel bearing at 5 mph is not as significant as at 100 mph.

Have fun with the bikes and the family.
