Hi I have been buying a beta Rev 3 270 2005 the problem Im having is I'm wanting to put it on the road but here's the catch I bought the bike and the owner of the bike had been using it off road and didn't have a v5 or any reg plate with the bike but he insists that it has been registered by the owner before him so we're do I go from here because to apply for a v5 you need the reg number ( what I have not got ) and I can't re register it because it's supposenly registered . I have searched all over the Internet trying to use my frame number and engine number to get it I've also been to the local police station but nothing ! We're do I go from here any help appreciated thanks guys

By the way. Is there a particular reason you need to road register it?

Been looking at the v888 and it asks for your reg number and there's no box to put your frame number if you were to fill one in how would you go about it ? And the reason for putting it on the road is I fancy doing a bit green laining also there's a practice track 5 mins ride up the road from where I live I was thinking of jumping on the bike and riding up

I would contact Beta-uk. They should have a record of which dealer it was supplied to and if it was registered from new dealer may still have reg no.

Other than that its a full explanation letter to DVLA at Swansea.

Does the person you bought it off not have any record of previous keepers contact details, receipt etc?

There can't be all that many 2005 270s.
