Hi, as you know, I've got one as you've replied to my post about head inserts. Mine came from Acklams (Paul) and they brought it to my door in 2 days. They have posted another ad on eBay after the one for mine disappeared so perhaps they do have another.

Hi , Why are you fancying a change from the 4RT?

A dealer I spoke to about 200 Beta availability and pricing gave me the impression that any limitation to supply was more to do with Beta UKs decision on how many to import at any given time. Would always be able to order one from factory but may have to wait at least several weeks and would unlikely to be discounted.

Thank's for the response there.Alexlowe, It was reading your post that prompted me to look at Acklams.

The 4 rt is just sitting there. It has done since my step dad died end of August as iv'e been helping my old queen get sorted out when i'm home .Yes i do fancy changing ,but not because it's a crap bike. It's me who has difficulty riding it .

So after the life story , i fancy either the 200 Beta , jotagas 250 or at a push the GasGas TXT 250 .In that order. And that's quite a large slice of humle pie to swallow !

What about a 250 Beta? They might have more of those in stock.

BTW a friend went from a 4rt to a beta evo 250 and is doing much better in sections, he found he couldn't get grip with the 4rt and you have to be quite physical with the bike to get it where you want it to go.

Push comes to shove,i might consider a 250 it's the 200 id be looking for .That's my problem the effort required to muscle the bike around.Don't get me wrong some things ive tackled on it ,it doe's with blinding efficiency . If thier was another chunk of me id manage it ,but there's not. Skill level come's in as well.2013 i rode 16 trials ,last year, 4 and one of them was on my TXT 250 .did a few stints at backcowm too and if i'm truthfull was hesitant to try stuff id just charge at on my old 280 edition.

The landing from a drop shakes the steel pin in my shoulder,or at least that's how it feels.

Hi There.

My First post to TC and wanted to say hi to a!!

looking at your conversations reference the Beta evo 200 and 250 I wanted to ask really .apart from the obvious, what is the 200 really like to ride? compared with a 250 beta?

Ive had quite a few Trials bikes in the last couple of years such as new 4RT. New 2014 Beta 250 evo. 2012 250 Factory, 2013 250 Beta evo etc etc. and all of them have been great especially the 4RT.

The betas are so light and flickable and parts are cheap to keep them looking good. I currently have a 2013 300 Beta which is great exept sometimes I cant kick the thing over as there is soooo much compression so looking at a New 250 factory or 2015 250 or 200

Many Thanks Guys

Haven't tried the evo version, but the rev 3 200 and I can compare that with a gg txt 290 a friend let me ride and a sy 250. The main difference is the 200 feels a lot lighter, you have to use more revs on a 200 though probably not as much as a 125. Lightness is the main thing. A couple of years down the line I would consider a 200 evo- totally different to riding a 300. On my friends 290 it feels like you can do everything at 1/4 throttle in third gear. I've been using mainly 1st and 2nd on the 200.

Ok Thanks for that, Still enjoying the 300 but aiming for a factory 250 when they come out

The original 200s were sleeved down 250s apparently but now that they have the plated barrel what would the difference be? Apart from the capacity, carb and the flywheel is there any difference between the 125 and the 250 eg gearbox ratios or frame dimensions? I don't know but interested to find out.
