just remember when punching out the holes to do it on the 'end grain' of a piece of wood, preferably hard wood.

..good advice from Greg, also best to punch the holes before you cut the final shape otherwise they tend to split at the holes. Usually when you're punching the last one...

i use to alway use the blue stuff but i just put a clean dry gasket on now with no leaks.got to think about when you need to take it off for any reason may be a messy job i can't comment on Yam bond as iv'e never used it if it was me id just try the thicker gasket with out any sealant. if the surface off the case id flat with no gaps you should not have any leaks. :D
