Fantic Rim Locks.

Hi all, I was just out fitting a new IRC rear tyre to my 240 and noticed it had no rim lock, or hole for one. I also noticed it looked like a rim which was designed to need a high pressure to pop the tyre onto the rim, i.e it had the extra ridge inside the rim. Is that normal on a Fantic trial bike. I have had a few enduro fantics and years back a 200 and dont recall this feature. I also found it quite easy to "break the bead by standing" on the tyre. With a tubeless tyre this would not have been the case. As a precaution I drilled the rim and fitted a rim lock. Did I do wrong?

The rim is an Akront and is gold. Is that normal too or had someone changed the rims at some point?

Many thanks.

Glenn
