This event is being put on for some Vintage bikes and riders to come out and have some fun, at somewhat of a last minute. We tried to keep it pretty simple and limited the classes to 3 and the sections to 3 lines. I'm sure we could have had more classes. But I learned a long time ago, no matter how many classes you have, someone will complain their bike should be in a different one.

This may be controversial but I say all twin shock, drum brake, air cooled, cable clutch bikes should ride together,

let skill levels be the class determiners.Eases tech inspection, economizes on awards. If you're dead set on scoring yourself some

hardware ride the best, newest bike you can afford and tune it to the Nth degree. If you want to have fun just

ride what you want, and don't worry about Tchotchkes to hang on your wall or set on the mantle.

If you are at a big Trialspalooza then all perversions should be accommodated(3spd,amal or villiers carb,

steel fork slider, rigid or plunger rear end with a solo saddle that has coil springs no longer

than 2&1/2 inches trophies to 3 places type of puffery)

It's the USA,not UK,we are happy to have 15 riders at a vintage event,no need for ten classes!

I was the only entrant in the Vintage class yesterday...

Thanks for putting on this event! I wish I was attending, but just far enough that I will pass on it

this time,I will say the Vintage trials ALMOST swayed me to go but I'm going to be short on

vacation time after our upcoming national.

I put on a 1&1/2 line, single class event last year, was a blast(Expert riders had to pick up an extra

split in almost every section) everyone scored together (-:

(easy for me to take this stand,my Vintage bikes are a 83 Fantic 240 and a 84 SWM 320TL...)

(1971 is "PreHistoric" in USA trials!)

  • 1 month later...

The start time for the Vintage Trials at the World Round has been changed from 4:00 to 3:00. And it will end at 6:00. Not much more time, but more than enough to finish 3 loops and get the folks to the Friday night banquet by 6:30.
Please spread the word.
Thanks,

Well I`m setting the Itsa National At Sipapu Ski resort this weekend. Nice short drive. We have a Master class that would give the SWM a good work out. Side note the pits are at 8500ft and we go to 9500ft. Lots of pure fun!
