I am currently paying £69 for a rear tubeless X11. At trials, me and the other guys I ride with keep getting told stories about people buying rear tyres for £45. We never seem to get to the bottom of where from though. What is everyone else buying tyres for, and if its cheaper than £69.00, where from?. I don't mind buying a few at a time if I can get a better price and they can be Michelin, Dunlop, IRC even the old Pirellis if they are tubeless.

Thanks for any light you may be able to shed on this cheap tyre mystery, I am beginning to think £45 tyres are an urban myth.

Cheers

Dave

If you were in the Buzzards you could get them a bit cheaper, we did a bulk purchase and got the price down a few quid but tobe honest £69 is a good price.

I have had one. The mitas are awful. It is like riding with 10psi and the side walls do not give.

Heh, at least you won't get a puncture

"Heidenau" tyres are made in Germany, they are a Michelin copy. Only available in TT at the moment but they are a soft compound and only £42.99 for a rear and £29.99 for a front {plus delivery}.

Looking at the manufacturers site there seems to be tube and tubeless types available.

Any idea where these are sold in the UK?

Has anyone actually tried the Vee Rubber rear tyres?
If so how bad good or indifferent are they.

If they are even reasonable where is the mythical 'available for £25 + p & p' online.

I would also be interested to hear if anyone has positive comments on Barum Mitas radials and the "Heidenau" tyres.

Gordon
