Hi Guy's.

Hi Brian,

I hope it was the "Mini Otter" project that gave you the Inspiration for the build?

I hope it rides as good as my little bike (second on the way) .

Good luck with it ,and secondly thanks for building it. and showing others a different  way , nice one fella.

Regards Charlie.

Hi Charlie it was indeed your "Mini Otter Project" that inspired me to build the wee bike,it took me 2 months from a drawing/sketch to finished machine. It is probably one of the most rewarding things that I have done(all work carried out by myself).Looking forward to a run out on it on Sunday.

Cheers the noo Brian

PS.it didn't break the bank :-) :-) :-) :-)

Wee update finished my first trial today on the 8x4,missed out 2 sections(big hill climb/doon hill). The wee bike rode well,a couple of things to do,gave a couple of experienced riders a go on the bike and they told me the bike is fine and well capable perfect for club trials :-) .

A big thank you to the Lothian Trials club for an enjoyable day.

Cheers the noo Brian

A wee update,I finished my second trial today on project 8x4 ,before the trial I lowered the gearing which transformed the wee bike(13 tooth front sprocket) ,front forks bottomed out a couple of times on a section dropping of a banking into a burn.Big hill between sections but the wee bike managed it(think I found the limits of the wee bike and wouldn't push it much further). Also it crashes well.Got about a month to fettle the bike till the next trial.

Chess the noo Brian

Hi Guy's.

 Hi Brian,

No don't be to cruel on the wee bike until you have sorted out the initial set up.

I am sure you will find other wee problems, before you get it to your liking.

Having only a 125 engine means you need to use all of the power to its best advantage. you may need to play with the Carburettor  settings or even swop the carb.  but you have a little (wee) gem of a bike so do it proud. (update me) please.

Regards Charlie.
