Rubber Handle Bar Mounts For 2014 Evo Factory?

Does anyone make rubber mounts or anything similar that would provide some cushion for the bars.  Front wheel landings are a bit hard on my arms and casing on a hard rock really sends shock right to the handlebars and into may arms.

Your riding with to much weight on the handlebars, that's causing your arms to hurt. Your legs should be carrying the mass not your arms. You may need to put a heavier spring in the fork that is right for your weight. The 2014 evo is sprung front and rear for a 165 lb rider.

The Evo is a very front heavy bike, Old engine not much lighter than the Techno lump, even with the mag cases etc on the factory.

Move the bars to the rear holes on the yokes and fit some CSP rearward footpegs. You could also make some spacers to raise the bars higher to take some weight of your arms too.

If all else fails change to a Gas Gas with Tech forks.

There's different holes on the Factory yokes to move the bars, You can also turn the clamps round to fine tune the position further as they are slightly offset.

The clamps unbolt from the underside, To get the rear bolts in the rear holes you may have to loosen the top yoke and pull it up to get the bolts in the hole.

Raising the bars with custom spacers under the clamps or changing to higher bars will transform the bike if it's heavy on the arms.

These clamps mount with a single bolt going down from the top.  They were pretty easy to move.  I'll try it this weekend.  I have thought of higher bars but am quite short with arms on the long side for my height.  But, it is worth a try so that could be next.

Moving the bars back did make me feel like I was going to go over the bars on down hill front wheel landings.  Someone suggested that the 2014 bars could be the issue.  Jitsie 5.0 bars have about 1/4 in more sweep, 1/2" more width and 1/4" more height.  They feel much better.  I could not make sense of the published bar dimensions so these are my own comparison measurements done side by side on a bench.

This also helps arm pain.

Thanks for that one.  I get the numb fingers too.  How often do you do these and for how many reps?  Is there a book?  By magnesium do you mean mag, cal & zinc tablets?  My pain was mostly forearm extensors and elbow.  There was lots of arm pump too.

Mag. 500mg tablets, I take two plus a day. I wish I could get arm pump, there was a time I would about bleed to death from my grip. After a 100 mile desert race my pants would be covered in blood from my hands. I have not had arm pump in over 5 years, which is good. Having not enough grip can be scary too.
