2001 Sherco 2.5 Rear Shock Trouble

Hello,

I recently bought a 2001 Sherco 2.5 Graham Jarvis signature model (I figured just having Graham's signature was worth the price I paid! haha) I knew there was a clunk to the rear shock when I bought. I took the air box off tonight and seen the rod worked its self loose from the part that connects to the frame and stripped the threads, while wrecking the threads on the other part as well. I am trying to find what kind of shock it is so I can send it to some one with parts for it but cannot find anything on the internet. Should I just get a new one thats made by a brand I know? Or send it away and hope the parts are universal?

I also live in Canada and am having trouble finding an air filter and a rear fender for the bike as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for your help, Clarky2

Air filter is the same up until 2009 so that's easily sorted

I had a shock on my 95 gas gas do the same as what you describe, I was able to have the eye helicoiled with a spark plug thread which matched the rod. Not sure what brand of shock they used then

Rear guard is shown by Splatshop as discontinued by they say the 02/03 guard fits, looks like the sticker for the guard will need to be copied, seat & the small round 1 are both available
