How much gearbox oil should I put in my 2013 bike, it

has had the 2014 mods done, ie the breather near the

front sprocket has been blocked and a new breather

fitted round the back of the engine near the kickstart

And going a bit over isn't an issue either. I've run a bit over 500 ml without any bubbling at all, meaning it is still below crankshaft.

Oil properties last longer in larger amounts, that is why OSSA changed ther official spec from 350 to 450 ml for the same engine, but also were concerned with extra weight. Hence you can go a bit even more if you aren't concerned with 100-200 grams of extra weight on bike lol.

... but I can't get the bleed screw out its rounded off the head

Any suggestions ?

Apply heat to the bolt and the surrounding aluminium (be careful with the painted pump cover...) and use a tight fitting torx bit, drive it in the allen head of the bolt and loosen....

Another option is to dremel a slot in the bolt head and to use a screwdriver. This is a bit more difficult because it is a small bolt.

Btw. I am using 450 ml. Motul Textron III (2015 engine).

I was on GRO but I bought some Putolene nano

so I put that in and the gear change felt better

Though my dealer advises to use Dextron III (Motul) I am considering to use a dedicated gear oil like Putoline Nano.

How did the change to Putoline affect the clutch? More or less dragging and did the clutch feel different?

The clutch drag seems to be better with the nano and the

The gear change seems crisper with the nano, I must admit

Due to a lack of riding I bet it's nearly a year since I changed it so

Maybe any fresh oil may have seemed better. I've found the nano

On a website cheap so I may purchase some more but it it is a top

End product. Does anyone run on PJ1 ???
