Sherco 125 engine problem

Hi all

i seem to have a problem with my Sherco 125. It was running fine then on one ride when I went into 5th gear the engine wouldn't rev almost struggled to do anything and the engine breaking came on then I would drop into 4th and try go again but had the same issue. It wasn't until I dropped into 2nd or 1st that I could then get back up through the gears but when I get into 5th the same happens and I have to slow right back down to get into 2nd or 1st and the engine would return to its self.

This has been working it's way through the gear and now 4th gets it and 3rd sometimes. The engine seems to die when you try to open the throttle in the gears and when it's slowing back down and you try to open the throttle it still has no live and burbles along

Anyone had this before or may have an idea of what it could be?

Any ideas would be appreciated

thanks

Sherco 125 2007 and not sure what carb is on it.

The clutch seems fine changes through out the gears below 4th fine and no problems up and down, it's the engine breaking from 5th and having to drop back down to 2nd that has the problem then the revs come back and you can get going again

Bike won't stay running with out the choke on even when warm. When you pull the clutch in, it will still drive in gear but if revved with clutch in, it will disengage the drive. When I come off the throttle it stays high revs. The tick over screw wasn't changing the engine note at all.
