Hi guys, looking for some advice into the source of my problem, I have an 06 sherco 250, I replaced the water pump seals and bearing as it was leaking from the weep hole and it fixed it however after about 4 hours of riding it's started again. I had no leaks whilst I was riding it on Sunday, I washed the bike fired her up and there was no leaks then but the next day when I fired her up its started leaking again. Any help what this might be is much appreciated. Tia

A 15 year old that works on his own bike. That's excellent. Even if you don't get an easy answer rest assured that all the cranky know-it-all's on here (yeah me too) started the same way and there's lots of times we put something together only to have to take it apart again and fix it proper. It's how we learned. It's how you'll learn.

Welcome to the brotherhood (and sisterhood) of "I can fix that!" You are now one of us.

Thanks, new to the forum stuff and I'm only 15 ha, I'll give that a try

Figured you would be new to the forum. Welcome!

Also thought you would like to know we had bike specific threads so you could search and ask direct questions to others that would give faster response as they share bike brand with you.  :D

As it separates oil from water then potentially yes, but the water is at much higher pressure so more likely to migrate to oil

Cheers better get some stuff ordered, Ive allready burned a  hole in my pocket having to do a top end rebuild, graphics and the seals and bearing recently :wall: will be happy when it's finally sorted

When I'm replacing the shaft should I grease/lubricate it with something where it touches the seals, also if so what type of grease/lubricant should it be

Make sure you get the seals installed the right way....tension springs have to be towards the fluid side that the are sealing in....and the bearing has to be on the transmission side of the oil seal....the factory parts diagram I have seen shows the bearing between the two seals, which is not correct. Hope you get rolling again soon:)  Oh ya, welcome to trialscentral
