Hi everyone

For a long time I have looked through the forum reading posts and getting advice etc so thought it was about time I signed up.

I got my first trials bike aged 6 which was a Ty80 I then went onto a few motocross bikes and then road bikes, well turn the clock forward I'm now 32 and had loads of fast road bikes but last year I realised I can't keep riding on the roads in the manner that I do forever and had kinda lost the love for it so one day I went to a friends and he had a old beta rev 3 I spent half an hour on it and it all came flooding back so within two days I had bought my own 2008 beta rev3 250 I have been riding it for about 6 months and decided to sell my road bike and concentrate on trials riding so got myself a 10 hour old 2015 Montesa 4rt 260 I have since added some carbon protectors and done some service work so far I'm loving the brakes and suspension but not 100% sold on the engine and grip, I ride in lots of welsh mud.

I have changed the front sprocket to a 9 tooth to slow it up and plan to change the dunlops for some Michelins in the new year ready to compete in some bro cader trials. I am just learning and trying to get the basics sorted but would like to start learning how to hop and zap up stuff hopefully with practice and time this will come.

I live in Gwynedd, Wales so have plenty of great locations to ride nearby, my friend has 6/7 acres of land with some stream sections and hill climbs which we practice on and try and get out once a week the two chaps I ride with are both in their late 60's and are great fun and amaze me how they still manage to do it! they both have beta rev 3's one of which is my old one so at least I get to play on it and a gas gas 200 txt so we have a variety of bikes to choose from which is nice, I am a mechanic by trade for the last 13 years so do all the work and maintenance on our bikes myself but last year left and since got a job as a postman due to a medical condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis which certainly doesn't help my trails riding but I sure won't be letting it stop me, below is some pics of some old bikes and my new one and yes I keep it in my house guarded by my dog lol.

Well if you managed to read all that sorry for boring you to death and many thanks for the add to the forum and hopefully see some of you guys out at the events and practice days!

RIck
