I had video, but it looks like somehow the tape got rewound and overwritten by Sunday's stuff

I've got some photos, but they're not that great as I forgot the flashgun. B)

That Amos can still ride a bit can't he. Bet a few of the Honda men cringed when he cartwheeled it of the big step in section eight at his first attempt.

Even though Andy's pics didn't turn out, would be brilliant if anyone else could post some. A story of who was there and what they rode sure would be nice too. I think this event didn't get enough attention, perhaps at the event itself it did! I think it was a brillinat idea to have all those former champs together again, showing they can still ride!

I think the Past Masters trial was a great idea. What about going one further and having a past past masters trial such as Mick Andrews,Mart Lampkin,Vesty,Rathmell,Thorpey etc riding their old Bultos and Ossa's etc.I know that Mick andrews and Thorpey are in their sixties now but they can still ride better than most Clubman even now!

It won't be the same format as r2w's, but one of the best gallery systems available is Gallery. Plus it's open source (so free to you) and fairly simple to set up (as long as you have PHP support on your host). I've used in several places and havent come across a better solution yet.

Just to add a few more comments about this excellent event, I was personally dissapointed that Jordi Tarres was not riding as billed in the pre-event publicity but I guess this is as a result of the recent shakeups at Gas Gas meaning he wasn't able to travel with the team.

If 3000 people attend an event and pay £7.50 each to see 6 or 7 riders do 4 or 5 sections then the potential to expand on this must be irresistible to the organisers for the future and I'm sure everyone would love to see, and pay good money for, Andrews, Rathmell, Lampkin Snr, Vesty, Lejeune and so on riding period bikes in addition to the last generation of world class riders which could also be expanded with Ahvala, Bosis and lots more. Probably take a lot of organising but would be fantastic.

The entertainment on Saturday was also great because there was no pressure on the guys and the crowd just loved the horse play from Amos, Jack Burnicles put downs of the "nasty Ron" observer went down well, Steve Saunders stop for beer half way through the section-all greatly relished by the crowd. Behind it all, there appeared to be a financial motivation for the riders as Amos's first question on the podium was "where's the money?" -not unreasonable for the size of paying crowd they attracted.

One sour point is mentioned in the organisors summary of the whole weekend elsewhere and that was the talk of major problems in the run up to the weekend with Hawkstone neighbours and local authorities-word was police were called at one point to arbitrate so I don't know how this may effect future events there-would be a tragedy if it was lost to World Championship trials. Haven't seen any other posts about this-anyone know any more details of the trouble?
