  1. When hedgehog feeding is over maybe you can post the full story.. ; )
  2. Its back on http://www.trialscentral.com/news-archive/sub-headlines/19303-uk-world-trial-will-go-ahead
  3. Just to clarify: The Vertigo Combat will go into production later this year - model year 2016 - the exact date of when these will be on general sale has not been set yet and is currently under final evaluation based on the data collected from the 6 prototype machines ridden at the recent SSDT. No machines for public sale will be produced in advance of this main and planned release.
  4. Red Bull City Trial will once again be a unique opportunity to showcase the sheer talent and skill (yes in a dynamic format - but one that still has the soul of the sport at its core) of the World's best Trial riders to a massive mainstream audience - Last year more than 30,000 people enjoyed the second edition of this free event. Feedback from the riders, public, media and the various authorities was highly positive last year. Come - see and then comment.
  5. New Trial Publication – what are your thoughts? We are currently exploring and investigating the Trial publishing market with regard to launching a new product into this specialist sector as part of a potential joint venture. However before the project can take the next step we wanted to get the thoughts and feed back from you – the potential readers. Trialscentral is without doubt the largest and best English speaking website, and T+MX remains the UK’s leading weekly off road journal. We are looking to offer a quality monthly magazine that would compliment these two established forms of media. The product would be a high end publication packed with exclusive content that you will have not seen anywhere else either in print or online. The features and photography would be commissioned purely for the purposes of the magazine. It will be Trial and only Trial - no bicycles, enduro or MX. We believe that news should be covered on a daily / weekly basis via the internet and newspapers, therefore the magazine would include in depth interviews with the World’s best riders, revealing behind the scenes insights, bike and product tests with real opinion, plus other unique content based on our 25 years in the business and not two month out of date material. The goal would be to deliver a must read publication that will build into the ultimate Trial reference and in time become a true collectors item. They are our thoughts – what are yours?

    5 Or 3 ?

In order that the debate can have a true perspective please note that having witnessed the observer at work first hand I am pleased to report that he was consistent with each and every rider that passed through his section irrespective of their status or ability - thus to suggest that one rider was favoured over another would be far from the truth. Over the course of the week, as everyone knows and appreciates, you win some and lose some and overall things even themselves out and normally the best man wins...unless you are just seven times lucky!

  9. Without prejudice We have kindly noted the above comments and can explain as follows. The presentation of the award immediately after the event was made according to the information provided by an independent and appointed third party and thus was something we never questioned until certain allegations were brought to our attention. Having now investigated this situation, it would appear that the information provided at that time related only to the Youth class and not the Junior and Youth classes as was originally requested. Hence we can conclude that the award was presented to the incorrect rider. This situation will now be rectified, with all relevant parties being informed in due course and the award being re-allocated to the correct and deserved rider. We unreservedly apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused. We strongly refute any claims that suggest that this was anything other than a genuine error, and thus we will act upon any comments that we believe to be malicious or defamatory, and ask that any such comments that have been made already are retracted immediately to prevent the need for any further action. For the avoidance of doubt we are fully aware of the true identities of the individuals involved in making such remarks. Furthermore it should be noted that G2F, G2F Media Ltd and L+M Events UK Ltd are three individual companies that operate and trade independent of each other. In all cases, reputation and integrity is core to each business and thus this is something that we will continue protect at all times. For and on behalf of L+M Events UK Ltd
  10. Please allow us to clarify this situation. Our original application to the FIM was for another 2 day trial - this had to be submitted during January 2011 and prior to last year's event. Post the 2011 event it became obviously apparent that the costs associated with delivering another 2 day trial - 3 day event were not viable in the current economic climate. Hence following communication with both the ACU and the FIM it was decided that the 2011 Grand Prix of Great Britain would be a 1 day trial - 2 day event, as per the format we successfully delivered at Hawkstone Park during 2005/2006/2007. The data gathered from last year's event clearly shows that the vast majority of people only visited on 2 out of the 3 days. Therefore our intention this year is to deliver a high quality event that is focused on 2 rather than 3 days of World class action and entertainment, and that will cater for the majority of visitors. Saturday will provide a packed schedule of additional activities (full details of which will be confirmed in due course) plus official practice and autograph sessions - ahead of Sunday's main competition. Anyone who was previously present at Hawkstone Park during our three year run or at Nevis Range last year will know that we are totally committed to delivering events of the highest order. With the event now taking place during the English school holidays, from our research, most people are looking to travel north on the Friday so as to fully enjoy the 2 day event, whilst still managing their own expenditure. The 2 day advance ticket offers great value for money and a real saving based on 2010 prices. We sincerely hope that the British trials community / fans will continue to support our efforts to retain the GP in this country so that we can all enjoy the skills of the best motorcycle riders on the planet. 12. Whilst a provisional calendar exists for 2011 it is far from being finalised and it is in fact due to major changes to this initial draft that all 2011 dates are now being reconsidered. As a result of this we remain in discussions with the FIM with regard to the 2011 / 2012 schedules, with a view to continuing and fulfilling our three year plan to host World status events in the Scottish Highlands. We are pleased to report that we have the full support of the FIM in this process. Not until the FIM Congress in late October will any 2011 dates / events be confirmed, so any announcements by any party at this stage must be regarded as unofficial, a point that the FIM were quick to reinforce in Poland at the weekend. Obviously once we have received official notification from the FIM regarding our events over the next two years, we will then be in a position to make a suitable and factual announcement. 14. Apologies Jimmy - but I think you have missed the main point of my piece, perhaps my message was to subtle in it's approach? Anway what's the BTC got to do with it? Last time I checked they were not using FIM rules?
  15. No PR stunt - with all due respect we do not struggle to get coverage of our causes! I am genuinely fed up of people speaking out when they do not know what they are talking about especially when they are high profile individuals who have not been to a World Trial since Hawkstone 2007. People are not forced to come to Fort William there are other GPs they can visit, but they at least need to visit a couple of events before talking as if they are informed. As for PR stunts they are to come, along with some pretty big announcements.... So watch this space for some real PR!
