  2. hi to all fantic addicts ! i've just bought an oko flatside carb (black one with chrome plated slide) i have some problems so set it up correctly,,,so 'id like to know if someone could give me basic) settings for a 300 fantic pro... other question, is a vm26 mikuni the best option for this bike, as i own a genuine one.. all point of view will be welcome cheers from france ;-) nicolas
  3. hi many thanks mine is 140 and looks too rich for my 175... i bought the ignition at bultaco.uk looks the same as ty trials one...is it? cheers nicolas
  4. hi to all i'm building a tricky ty 175. i rode it yesterday, and the engine doesn't revs freely as it should be. y have an electronic ignition "ty trials" 'bouhgt at bultaco uk and a mikuni 24 mm flatslide. could somebody give me a basic jetting for this carb. the engines runs quite well, except at high revs like if it was too rich, the main jet is 130 or 140... or maybe an ignition issue? cheers nicolas
  5. hi i'm nicolas from france i fitted a rotary morgo oil pump on my ariel ht5. the problem is that when i run it, i only see oil and air bulbs slowly exiting in the return hose...shouldn't the flow be airless and continuous?no wet sumping i think, because i do not see smoke at all, and the tank level looks the same... what could be the problem? when i unscrew the priming bolt, it leaks oil with no bulbs i'm afraid of the feed line... what do you think about that? cheers nicolas
  6. hi from france well, i own a miller replica, and ride with ariel worskshop spec : 1/2 " btdc valves clearances as described, and it runs a concentric amal. i had trouble with a triumph plunger pump, and i 've just fitted a morgo pump. the buke runs perfectly, smooth at bottom revs, and powerful on top. i my opinion, those settings are good, no feedbacks for the morgo pump, i've just fitted it...wait and see.. cheers nicolas
  7. hi, i'm nicolas from south france i'm riding vintage trials bikes for three years now, , specialy english ones. i own an ariel ht5, a cub, i had in the past a 1962 greeves scottish, beamish suzuki... but know i'm fond of my miller replica... quite different of the others i had, but really fantastic.. i find your forum very interesting vintage riding seems to be most popular than in france!! my bike has a bartram frame, neb clutch, norton roadholder fork with marzocchi internals, and a pair of njb expert shocks i have to dry the fork, but i don't know quantity and viscosity i should use, and i like to purchase a set of njb trixshocks in 360 mm instead of 340 has somebody try these shocks? cheers nicolas
