i was told by brad baumert of ryp that the switch is just a ground. when its on map2 it grounds the circuit causing map 2 to kick in. When in map 1 position it does not ground and stays in map 1. So, if you take the switch off, it simply removes the ground option, therefor the bike will stay in map 1 position. He said they take it off all of their comptetion bikes.

yes, went through, he had drove 5.5 hrs to get it and i drove about 1.5 hrs towards him, so there was a lot invested even before the sale.
after it started, it started every kick after, he totally understood thank goodness.
