    K-Scan for Ossa

    I just did a test and used a 12V battery instead of the 9V of the old Easy start that is already on my 2012. I can ear the fuel pump. Now it's too late but I'll try to start it with the 12V tomorrow to see if it make a difference. Right now the TPS is at 0.620 with the engine not running, which I think is ok from what I read. Tomorrow I will also check the RPM to see if it's at 1400 RPM. Thanks for the reply!

    Thanks for that info lotus54. I have found your thread about the "super easy start", very good info. But I have a question. You wrote to connect the 12v battery to the red and black of the diagnostic connector. Are you talking about the connector where we connect the computer with Kscan? On my 2012 TR280i there's no red and black wires on this connector.

    It's been a while since I set the TPS (many years) and it is really hard to start. What spark plug are you using? Right now I have an NGK Iridium BPR5EIX but I think it's too cold, the weather here is now around 50F-60F at this time of year.

    I tried to use the 9v easy start button to send some power to the ECU and it worked. I can see the TPS and some other info.

    Is there a way to access ECU without engine running? Some way to give power to the ECU with a battery or something?
  6. I found the part in Europe, just wait for it now!
  7. I already checked both bearing and they rotate very well. What you see is only a reflexion of the light. There's no metal fragments.
  8. That's what I think too. Yesterday I looked all over to tried to find that part. Can't find it.
  9. Yes the wheel can rotate. But with nothing to compare, I can't tell if there's some worn on that wheel. Just to do some test, I installed the drum at the 4th or 5th gear where it is less worned on the drum and I can changed gear at this place. It is not smooth, but it work.
  10. Maybe the shift drum is too worn and the mechanism doesn't work properly?
  11. When I try to shift, something is blocking the drum but I can't see what it is.
  12. Yesterday I was riding at a local trial event and bike was running fine. And then I was unable to shift in second or neutral, it was stuck in 1rst gear. I didn't drop the bike or crash it on that day. This morning I removed the transmission and I can't see what's wrong. I tried to change the shifter spring adjustment position with no luck. Unlike yesterday, now with the trans out, I can move between 1rst gear and neutral. But can't go up in 2nd gear. Any idea of what can be the problem? I seached on the internet but didn't found anything similar.
  13. Morning,

    I recently purchased an Ossa 280I for a great deal (I think) that has been crashed. Needs a Kickstarter and some other parts and pieces.  reaching out to you to see if you know of any dealers in Canada Preferably around the west coast but I cant be picky. also any sites you know of for Serial number decoding on these units? i was told its a 2013 but i want to confirm. i will be receiving the sales paperwork in a few weeks but it would be good to know now.

    let me know,

    Thanks
