    Carb Help,

I believe the stock carb for the 1974 TY250 was a Teikei Y26P
  3. You could use a throttle from the Beta RR 300 enduro bike.
  4. There are some Ossa Mar bikes with points.
  5. The CDI box for this bike is p/n M04016000 there is a black wire that comes out of the CDI that is supposed to be connected to a chassis ground. I do not see your CDI box in this picture. to the best of my memory the CDI box is approx. 70mm long x 15mm x 15mm there are 2 x 3 wire connectors going to it, one on each end. Good luck.
  6. If you have a kill switch wired in remove it and check spark again. Check the condenser, sometimes they can become a dead short. Good luck.
  7. I remembered this when relooking at your forum post. The original Motoplat ignition has part of the CDI unit in the Stator and the rest of the CDI unit in the HT coil. PVL makes a replacement HT coil that should work if the stator is still good. I believe that Rex's Speed Shop sells this replacement PVL replacement HT coil.
  8. The item shown in the top picture as " Regulator " is the rectifier.
  9. In my opinion I think it is best to support your local dealer.
  10. Ian 589 the 1999 Sherco by Bultaco cooling fan wiring is similar to this GasGas wiring Good luck
  11. Betamotor recommends " Liqui Moly Racing Synth 2T " @ 1.5%
  12. I think if you removed one of the screws holding the stator plate there would be a witness mark. If there is only one witness mark it would be unlikely that the stator plate had ever been moved, therefore it is in the correct position. That is what I think .
  13. Definitely worth going, try to find a group of seasoned spectators to go along with. Have fun !
  14. Clipic just as the handlebar pad indicates.
