  1. I have a BETA evo 250(2010)and the clutch was slipping, so fitted a new clutch .... nothing has changed, still slipping ... any ideas why?? Have used ATF oil for a while with no problem, could that be a cause? Thanks in advance.
  2. Anyone know anything about this event .... can I just turn up and ride? Sorry, fairly new to trials, so not 100% sure on certain events / clubs. Cheers
  3. If you are coming from Monmouth on the dual carriage way towards Ross, then it is the woods on the left about a mile or two from the r/about (just past the welcome to England sign) There is a lay by ... the gate is at the back of the lay by .... if you go under the bridge at the top of the hill, you have gone too far. 10.30 start.
  4. Haha ... yes the world really is that small! Don't worry about the falling off, that never stops! There is a trial at Monmouth this wkend.
  5. Hi Chris I'm in Ross ... got a few places local to us both we ride at ... welcome to give me a shout if you ever want someone to ride with. Cheers
  6. Many thanks for taking the time to reply fellas ... I feel a lot better about my "new" bike now!! Regards
  7. Fellas, firstly, is there a definitive way of testing to see if the head / base gasket has gone? I have a very small amount of bubbles coming up when I take the rad cap off. Just don't know if small bubbles and turbulence are normal on a trials bike as all so small. Secondly, when the bike was on the side stand and ticking over, it jumped into gear ... it did it twice! ... what has cause that? Bike is a evo 250 2011 and new to me, hence the questions. Thanks in advance!
  8. Hi All, I am fairly new to trials and have just bought (on Thurs) a beta evo 250 20011. Anyway, I took it for a play first thing Sat, after about an hour I went to stop and the kill switch did not work ... it has two buttons at the front (red & black) and I understand the red is the kill switch. While I was fiddling with it trying to get it to stop, the bike started revving out of control ... I though she was going to blow up, so I pulled off plug cap (nothing) then let the clutch out and it stalled after 30 yrds. After about an hour I started it again and it was fine ... apart from the kill switch, it still does not work. So, my questions are what the hell happened? Could the two be linked? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi All, I have just bought my first trials bike (05 Sherco 290) and really enjoying my new sport. I bought the bike from a dealer who ensured me all was ready to ride, so I went straight on it for a few hours last weekend. I went to change the air filter tonight and I noticed the air box was very dirty and wet ... I presumed because I gave it a good jet wash after riding. Anyway I took off the airbox to give it a good clean and noticed dirt in the carb too. This may be because I stupidly started the bike after I jet washed (30 secs just to dry) but I cannot be 100% sure. Anyone got any advise on what my next move should be? ... clean carb and put together or start taking motor apart. Thanks in advance for your help!
