How would I know? has anyone got any pictures of the mount point changes of the differant swing arms?

Hi, Can anyone help please. I bought a side stand off ebay that was suppossed to be for a 2009 evo. I can't see how it fits as I have two vertical holes on the back of my swing arm but the stand appears to have two horizontal holes. Therfore I think I have a 2010 on side stand. Does anyone have a picture of what the 2009 side stand should look like at all. I mailed the supplier whho told me it should fit any Evo, My understanding was that the 2009 had a differant mount as the 2010 onwards had the swing arm changed to make it stronger?

I only just stated trialing and I can't say about a Rev 3 but I went from a 1999 Techno 200 to a 2009 Evo 250 and went from being hopeless even on the easy route scoring in the 60's to mid table scoring early 20's and it was just the bike that made the differance. The bike is awesome, starts easily goes over rocky ground no problem so much more tracktable the differance was unbelieveable. As for staying away from the 2009 I would say don't worry if they have survived this long they either don't have the problem or have had the frame changed. Mine has the original frame and has had a hard life as the last owner used it in a disused quarry and it is fine. They are so much cheaper all the advantages of an Evo without paying silly money.

Hi could any one help I have a 2009 Evo 250 and want to buy new plastics, I have seen on ebay bikes advertised as 2009 with 2010 plastics. Do the 2010 plastics go straight on to the 2009 if not whats differant. The 2010 plastics tend to be cheaper and more available. The same for the front fender what years fenders will fit a 2009 bike please.

Thanks, Peter, it was running fine before I had to take the carb off so hopefully it should be OK I noticed towards the end of the trial that the bike was smoking more than normal if it was running to rich would it cause it to smoke?

Thanks for that it says all screwed in and 1 1/2 back so is that clockwise all the way and 1 1/2 back anti clockwise?

Hi can anyone tell me the best way to set up the carb on a 2009 evo 250 I just purchased this bike and arrived at the trial to find that fuel was pouring out the overflow. Stripped and cleaned it and it was ok after but the air screw setting got altered and the bike ran terrible all day. Is there a best way to get to a base setting ie turn the screw clockwise all the way and then back a turn? Do you have to pull the knob out before turning it? Is there a manual for this bike at all?

Would have thought easiest just to swap it with one on your mates bikes

My mates 2005 250 Gas Gas rubbed right through the can, He had to get it welded up and then packed the mounts to get it away from the tyre. I thought it was because he was not exactly a light weight

Jon, I bought a 99 Techno 200 and my thermostat has been bypassed so the fan is always on.

Hey mate that is nice. You cant really go wrong for that kind of money. Get it and Hire a big van for the TDW IV and bring all 3 along.

I was looking at buying a pair of Hebos as my local KTM / Beta dealer sells them but have been put off by a lot of people having similar problems to you. All I can suggest is you tell the supplier you are going to trading standards as these boots are not fit for perpose. If you dont get any joy with that then actually contact them.
