I can not seem tonfind a service manual for the one i just picked up. I found a spart parts book, but not a service manual. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  2. Good luck team WGASA! I'll make it out to something this year.... Looking forward to the event report Zippy.....
  3. I agree here. I am OK with paying more to a local person in appreciation for being there. I don't have dealer in my area that carries anything specific to trials though. So I would even try to order from someone within the country, but then I was paying more, waiting for them to order it from Europe anyway, and then paying to ship it to me. It would take minimun two weeks. I have found I can get parts within 5 days from the UK. I don't blame them for not having it in stock. They can't possibly stock all the specialty parts, the market just isn't big enough here.
  4. Awesome vids. Indoors would be nice, although I did go out last weekend in the backyard and practice some with weight transfer for traction in 20cm of snow. It was good for some fun! Great video from a $30 camera though!
  5. Can anyone help me out with the difference between the AJP "small style" front brake master cylinder and the other posted below? Does small mean the brake lever, reservoir, or thread size for the brake line? Front Brake Master Cylinder Small Front Brake Master Cylinder Assembly Small Style, GasGas Pro Raga, Scorpa, Ossa AJP part number 116.00.820C AJP Front Brake Master Cylinder Front Brake Master Cylinder Assembly Swapping the small Master cylinder for one of these is a popular modification on the GasGas to improve the brake some Beta owners have also swapped. AJP part number 116.00.000 Also know as: AJP BR PMP 28004301 Thanks.
  6. For anyone interested, here is the link to round 2 at St. Eustache, Montreal:
  7. The Canadian Superbike Championship got on going this weekend at Shannonville Motorsports Park. They are offering free video coverage from the www.csbk.ca website, here is a direct link to the Superbike feature race.
  8. Perfect! The explaination and of course pictures from the manual for my simple brain answer the question. Thanks guys!
  9. I have dug this post back up, because it's the same problem, I just have a question about re-installation. My bike stopped shifting correctly this past weekend (2003 Sherco 2.9). Long story short, I am 99% sure it was the gear selector return spring. I pulled everything off last night, the spring did not appear to be broken, but as I pulled out the shift shaft, it broke exactly like the one above in this post.and looked just like in this post. So I am not 100% sure if it wasn't shifting well due to spring fatigue or if it got dislodged. I looked at the sping before I removed the shaft, and it did not use a stud in the engine case behing the gear selector as a pivot point like I thought. It just looped around the collar on the shift shaft, then crossed behind a stud on the back of the gear selector. Question is does it just loop around the collar on the shift shaft then cross-over behind and infront of the stud on the back of the gear selector? See my bad drawing....
  10. I had a problem getting the rear rim to seal on my Sherco due to the spoke holes. So I bought the tubliss system and it has worked great. I did have to drill a second hole in the rim for the tubliss system because there was no rim-lock hole, but it has worked flawlessly, and was much cheaper than replacing the rim.
  11. Hi, I am definitely not a mechanic, and there are a lot of guys here that have forgotten more than I will every know, but I have had a similar problems on a few of my bikes after just purchasing them used. Including a 2003 Sherco 2.9. The choke bypasses the main jet. If the main jet is clogged, from sitting for long periods of time, especailly without fuel stabilizer in it, the bike will run fine with the choke on, but when you shut the choke off the fuel can't get through anymore. You can remove the carb, remove the float bowl from the bottom of the carb, and there are some brass fittings you will see on the inside of the carb with small pin holes in them. These are the jets, They can unscrewed and removed from the carb assembly. I simply remove them, get some carb cleaner, and soak the jets in the carb cleaner for a few minutes then blow them out with compressed air, then reassemble. Somethimes before you clean them, if you hold the jets up to the light and look through the small hole, you will see it is out-of-round from the gunk inside. Hopefully that helps.
  12. I was wondering what all this "no-stop" meant!
