  1. After reading the manual I don’t see any mention of any fuel filter . Is there any? , is it a serviceable ?
  2. This was the Scottish 6 six days , I’d pack a snorkel before electrical parts
  3. Switched over to Vertigo when I bought my 2017 250 new . Bike has been mechanically perfect and the most balanced trials bike I have owned . Small tank is the only drawback if I want to find a fault . Internet wise the earlier bikes that needed a 9 volt batt for starting seems to bring about the most complaints
  4. Riding the other day I found the clutch lever would stop before the handgrip . Still engaging and disengaging correctly I tried adjusting lever but it had shorter stroke . Cheers to mototrials west whom said check the through bolt at the centre of the clutch basket . It had wound itself out , once I chased the bolt threads it went back in and all works correctly again . Bonus is it’s a reusable gasket on the case . A small side note this is the first issue I have encountered on this 2017 vertigo 250 I bought new
  5. That’s like arguing republican and Democrat saying we can’t work on anything in a Vertigo tech thread . Meanwhile most riders would not want to relive the points and condenser days , But it wasn’t that long ago riders were in an uproar over those CDI black box’s that could leave you stranded , all you really need is a points file rather than that crazy new tech .
  6. No more complex than stuck floats or a plugged pilot jet. Been thousands of posts on carb issues . Overall my vertigo has required less maintenance and always run spot in all seasons . Something I can’t say my gasser did
  7. Had the runaway happen to me twice , both times the throttle cable had been pulled . Both times had to shut off by stuffing the exhaust . Both times the rings stuck and needed to replace the cylinder and piston .
  8. “Reved under load “ will be your main jet curcit, not an air screw adjustment . I’d be thinking if it’s new to you and now the bike in colder weather it could be a main jet size lean , or raise the needle a notch to begin with if it’s part throttle
  9. X11 was sold as tube type and non tube type , tube style has a larger diameter bead
  10. If you know of 400 hr with unknown before I’d be inclined to throw a piston and rings in it . As others have said it’s tough to give a set amount as air cleaner shape, type of running , water ingress all makes a difference. But 350 hours on an avg trials bike seems reasonable to freshen it . Waiting only will increase the possible wear issues on the nikosil coating or possible catastrophic outcome of broken top end components
  11. Just have an elbow installed in the fuel cap , retro fitted the map switch and leds into the bar pad . Fairly simple in all . My only disappointment in Vertigo is the fuel economy , with the small tank and injection it’s always the first bike to run out of fuel
  12. My camo with some buds , funnily the lone gasser now has bought a vertigo as well , have to re-take the pic I guess

Removing some compression and rebound by a couple clicks at a time sounds far less complicated than reading the above
  14. Guess it spell checked , it’s a Vipor brand , it comes in 3 sizes to fit most moderns . This was sourced through moto trials west(Canada ) , I’m guessing it’s built in the USA , and I’m impressed at the details such as nice and tight fit , 3 set screws to lock into place , and anodized with the obvious stainless screen . Bike runs and sounds no different . As I’m the club representative whom works with the province here for legal riding areas ,it forces me to comply with being legal to the letter of the law and leading by example .
  15. Success ! Viper brand specific for 3 sizes , the 1.260 fits Vertigo perfect and looks like it was made for it
