  1. Hi everyone, my rear fender on my Rev3 250 broke and I'm in need of a new one. I phoned some shops and cant get hold on a 2004 rear fender in red. It is originally a 2001 Beta REV3 250, but with the 2004 airbox and rear fender. Does anybody know if the rear fender of the later models(2006/2007) will fit the bike (basically a 2004 model)? 2004 fender 2006 fender looks like it should fit but I'm not sure. Does someone know? greetings Peterschnecke
  2. Does anybody have experience with the GoldenTyre GT257? I ride a lot with someone who has a KTM SXC 625. So, my riding style is more enduro like than trials like, but still with a lot small single tracks and a lot of muddy terrain and steep leafy hill climbs. Expect for the muddy terrain I can keep up very good with the KTM rider. I guess the GT257 on the rear and a normal Trials tire on the front would be the perfect combination for me?
  3. Did you use tap water, distilled water or special cooling fluid as coolant for the bike?
  4. I can give you a hint how not to do it I tried to remove the inner clutch case and also didn't have had a special primary tool. As you can see in the pictures this does not work.(I wanted to replace the inner clutch case anyway) Maybe it would have been better to make the special primary tool out of old clutch plates but it is to late now and i am just going to use an impact wrench.
  5. As far as I know at least the Jitsie waterpump kit will fit all 2t Rev3 125-270 and 2t Evo 125-270
  6. The bigger waterpump really made the difference. Old waterpump and plastic radiator cover was about 90°C (194°F) while doing 50kp/h (30mph) Old waterpump and aluminum mesh was about 85C° (185°F) while doing 50kp/h (30mph) Jitsie waterpump and aluminum mesh is about 75°C (165°F) while doing 65kp/h (40mph) Better than expected. It seems that the original plastic impeller has scratched on the waterpump housing and cover. I have no Idea how that happened. But anyway, the new impeller does not scratch and seems to develop a bigger pressure even while idling and keeps the engine a lot cooler.
  7. I couldn’t find a distributor for a CSP Waterpump Kit in Germany so I just bought a Jitsie Waterpump Kit. It should do the job and also has a nice anodized spacer I will keep you informed about what happens to the engine temperatures
  8. This sounds rather good. Seems like i am just a bit over concerned. But sill, my question according to experiences with the waterpump kits remains. I also did a bit of math and now i know that with original gearing the Beta will run about 100kp/h (60mp/h) with 7000rp/m in 6th gear.(Already tested that one time on the autobahn, but it is a bit scary to go 60mph on a trialsbike while standing ) While riding normally on the street [50kp/h (30mp/h) ] the Beta runs with about 3500rp/m in 6th gear. This is about half of the rated speed. Now the question is how efficient the normal waterpump is at that rather "low" (?) rp/m. The bigger waterpump might make a difference or the radiator is already not capable of the heat and a bigger waterpump wont change anything.mhh... I think I might try a waterpump kit just out of pure curiosity
  9. I checked the temperature of the radiator with an IR Thermometer. The radiator had about 90°C (194°F) and the engine felt really hot after riding. I would like to have temperatures of around 75°C (167°F) That would be the same/a bit more than the optimal engine temperature of an Aprilia RS125 2T. Are this realistic temperatures for a trial bike? Also the plastic silencer protector already started to smoke some times, but than again the protector is a bit broken because it has direct contact with the silencer so that might not be an indicator. I am not so sure about using water and anti freeze because the Motul Motocool already has a boiling temperature of 136°C (277°C) and I wont have problems with a corroding water pump.
  10. Hello, I use my 01' Rev3 250 mainly on enduro style trails and to get to the trail I often ride a few(10-20) kilometers on public roads and I would like to have the engine a bit cooler. It is not that the bike overheats, no steam is coming out of the cap and I also don't loose any coolant, but on the other hand I never give full throttle on the paved roads and only drive about 50kp/h (30mp/h) max. because I fear that the bike gets to hot. I already replaced the 12V regulator and the fan now runs a bit faster. The coolant I use is Motul Motocool Factory Line and I also plan to exchange the plastic radiator guard with alloy mesh for more airflow. The oil I use is Motul 710 2T But still, I would like to have my bike run even cooler. Does anybody have experiences with bigger Waterpump Kits for increased water flow? Jitsie Waterpump Kit Are there any other Waterpump Kits? Here I read about a "Costa high volume water-pump kit"? Is there anything else I should check to get the bike run cooler?
  11. @0007: I use Motul Transoil Expert 10W40. But I only got the bike a year ago so I have no Idea what the previous owner had been using. The Motul Oil reduced the clutch drag a lot. With the old unknown oil I was able to ride up some hills without even releasing the clutch, the Motul Oil made it a lot better. But the bike would still jump a meter forward when shifting from neutral into first. While working on the clutch I obviously changed the transmission oil and It still looked very god. But otherwise the Motul was only one year and 500km in my bike.
  12. This is just amazing. Finally my beta no longer jumps 1 meter forwards when I shift from neutral into first. I guess my clutch was in a very bad shape.
  13. Thank you very much. The footage is from three different days of riding. Especially the shoots from 2:00 up to 2:50 almost took 2 hours to record in total. I already had taken 2 Cameras with me but still it took a while to set them up, ride the bike, collect all cameras and set them up again. Editing were another few hours. But I am quite pleased with the outcome As this was also one of my first tries at video editing.
  14. Last year in the fall, I made this video. Don't expect any cool jumps or good riding. My first ride on a trials bike was just a few weeks before this video.
