I had exactly the same experience on a 2008 4RT, it appeared I had disturbed a short in the wiring which could not be detected with tests.........ended up replacing the loom at a cost of £65. Bike starts & runs fine now. Hope this helps Alan

Hi. I have recently brought a 2008 Montesa 4RT, which I absolutely love & is a bike that will have a very easy time & one that I will keep for the rest of my life. I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I am trying to find out a little bit of the the bikes past history.
