  1. the dealer gives for free the software when you buy the cables. LewisportUSA is a btwice dealer in the USA. Have a look to following video. Btwice posted it on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1430828110502564&set=vb.100007261650275&type=2&theater
  2. My cables are from Btwice. I haven't asked my dealer but I have seen them posted on their web. Mine looks the same.
  3. I don't see any brand on the cables, I will ask my dealer.

    Ossa Gearbox

Hi mac73, all the bikes have only one washer placed in between the spring (point "A" of the picture from trialtrial) and the selector drum. I had to replace the selector drum+selector shaft last december and I had the same problem than you! I was sure that one washer was between the spring and de drum but I didn't remember the other washer on top of the drum. But when I received the parts from my dealer, a washer was already on top of the drum. So I decided to assemble the shifter shaft with two washers, one in each side of the drum... After wasting my time for a complete weekend trying to put back the gearbox (but having the same problem than you) I decided to ask my dealer...: the factory ships the shifter shaft + drum + SPARE washer on TOP of the drum, but it is only because it is easyer to ship the washer on top than in the lower part of the shifter shaft!
  5. I paid around 120 eur for the diagnostic cables. They are not original but they work fine.
  6. Hi Viper, the most common starting problems are due to the version of the map or the tps adjustment I'm sure you don't have the ossa software... so yo can ask your dealer for: - version of the injection map: there are some updates regarding maps. -tps adjustment: the standard value of the TPS voltage is set at 0.6 V (0.6 V ±0.04 v). Idle at 1500 rpm Your dealer should check: 1. Check the amount of Fuel 2. Check the air filter - Throttle body -dirty air filter? - air by-pass pre-drilled hole can get clogged (butterfly of the throttle body) 3. Check the spark plug -Older versions of injection maps can produce certain conditions of enrichment in the air-fuel ratio. -poor calibration of the fuel - oil ratio mix can cause carbon deposits on the the spark plug 4. Diagnose faults with Check K-scan (ossa software) 5. Reset TPS Adjustments 6. Verification of the cylinder compression 7. Verification of the woodroof of the flywheel -A torn or broken woodroof, will offset all the ECU referencs about piston position 8. Check crankshaft seal -If we have any leak on this system, we would have a rich condition. 9. Check the fuel pump -With a fuel pressure gauge connected we must obtain a value of 3.5 ± 0.3 kg/cm2 value. 10. Checking reed valve -A bad reed valve sealing produces a rich condition. Particular symptom of red valve trouble: fuel smell on the air filter case. 11. Checking the cylinder head gasket 12. Checking the cylinder base gasket 13. Checking alternator - Pick-up -With K-scan (ossa software)
  7. Standard bikes: the material of the headstock and fuel tank is aluminium. Most of the "Factory R" models: the material is magnesium. By the way, Alex Ballesta is not the OSSA Export Manager. He left the brand 4 month ago due to personal reasons. He founded BTWICE Engineering with an ex-engineer from OSSA. But he is giving an excelent service by answering questions and giving advice on OSSA bikes. And he is very quick replying the emails! I think he is still in Canada helping the Canadian OSSA importer and attending to some motorcycle trade shows. But he is still answering emails: aballesta@btwiceengineering.com ( www.btwiceengineering.com )
  8. The 2014 trials bike have the new "easy start system-capacitor" behind the headlight. All the 2014 models have the same "ESS-Capacitor". I think you will need a different electrical wiring harness if you want to install the new easy start system... By the way, who is your dealer?
  9. Hendrik, beware: 2014 explorers have the new "seasy start system" under the seat. It is a black box that includes the capacitor. The 2012 and 2013 only had a battery behind the headlight... but the factory "recalled" all those bikes to install a capacitor under the seat!!! it is not a "second battery pack"! Hendrik, the fan will not spin at the right speed if the battery runs out and the result will be a seized piston...

    Removing Ecu

Hi there, it is not necessary to change the ECU. The injection maps for the new ECUs are available for the "old" ECUs also. 2011 and 2012 OSSA bike models had the same type of cylinder head. 2013 models had a high comp head (even more than the red one that they sell as special part) To calm the bike better a 2011,2012 head. But then you will have to change the map. By the way, the old ECU's can be converted into new ECU's...
  11. Hi trialtrial, the OSSA importer John Mackinnon and somebody from OSSA Factory are in Vancouver for the motorcycle show. I'm sure they can help you. Give them a call. Andy
  12. In my opinion the 9v battery system is better than the new capacitor. The battery activates the fuel pump , the new capacitor doesn't. So.. easier to start the bike with the 9v battery system (and cheaper). My local dealer (in Spain) told me that the new capacitor cost a fortune!
  13. Hi tobee, Carrier Centers is the OSSA Importer in Canada. John MacKinnon 6 Edmondson Street Brantford, Ontario N3R 7J3 cell # 519 761 0146 johnmackinnon@carriercenters.ca They are also importers for BTWICE Parts (www.btwiceengineering.com). If i'm not wrong i saw the kit in their web also???
