  1. Thanks! It actually comes with a head too so I'd be good to go!
  2. Hello all, I have an '07 2.9 that has some engine noise. Upon disassembly and inspection I learned the cylinder and piston are gouged up pretty good on the intake side. Eventually I'd like to send it out for re sleevin/plating, but in the meantime I have an opportunity to buy an '08 2.5 cylinder/piston/rings/clips for a decent price. This would minimize the downtime My question is would it be a direct swap out or is there more to it than I'm imagining. I assume I'll need a different base gasket. Will the exhaust match up to the 2.5? Will re jetting be required? Will the 2.9 ignition work for the 2.5? Anything else I'm missing? Thanks in advance...
  3. Yeah, greasing EVERYTHING is always on my job list when ever I get a bike, new or used. The idle seems very smooth so far and doesn't seem to have any hic ups as it goes through the revs. Can you do the crank seals without splitting the case on these bikes?
  4. Well, it followed me home It's not quite as cosmetically beautiful as the pictures would lead you to believe, but aside from a few missing fasteners, it appears to be quite mechanicaly sound. Good call on the linkage bearings, copemech. That's about the only issue I could find with it. Oh, and it is a 290... Today was my first ride on a trials bike and it blew me away how easy it was to balance in one spot compared to that orange thing behind it. I forsee muchos fun this season with it!! Cheers guys! Thanks again! Sean
  5. It's looking that way so far. Shhhh, mums the word
  6. Thanks a bunch guys!! If I end up picking this thing up tomorrow I'll post pics up. ...And I'll be on here a lot more too Sean
  7. Hey, can't argue with newer Is there an easy way to tell the displacement when inspecting the bike? Again, he has it listed as 250, but he said he's listing it for his brother and some of the info may not have been conveyed 100% accurately (obviously)
  8. I have not yet seen it in person. The guy lives about an hour away, and I'll be going to look at it tomorrow with the intention of bringing it home with me. I'm not too concerned if its a year newer or older than stated in the ad, I'd just like to know what I'm buying. The asking price is $3400 (Canadian dollars) but I'm sure it could be had for 3 even. That seems to be a relatively good price. Trials bikes are pretty scarce around here.
  9. Hello, I'm new to the trials scene and considering picking up this bike. The ad states 2005 250, but a google image search turns up a lot of chrome framed bikes. I thought perhaps the gurus on here could help confirm the identity of this beast, and offer a little insight as to if it would be a good buy. Please excuse the blurry pictures. You'd think he was shooting bigfoot, jeez. Thank you in advance!
