  1. Give Edmondsly a try, has everything you'll ever need from novice to expert. pm me if you need anymore info.
  2. Always a good idea to carry your phone. (even though mine drowned yesterday!!) Also lately I've noticed a number of lads who visit the same woods as myself & mates taking to their bikes without trials boots, preferring to wear rigger boots or even trainers, I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for my Boulders my left shin would've been snapped. We all have had our 'offs' & we learn from them (or do we lol) Don't cut corners by not wearing the proper gear.
  3. Ouch indeed !! Yesterday was going well at our local woods, plenty of fun and skill practice until about 2 hours in then OUCH! crossing a burn, up a bank, hopped over a log, no big issue I guess untill the bike decided to head right instead of straight on and I along with machine headed off the narrow track and straight down backwards into the burn landing on my left shoulder and slamming my left leg on a rather large slab of rock.. I guess I only fell about 5ft or so and thankfully narrowly missing that rock but nevertheless I'm suffering big style today At the time myself and my mate were a fair way from the van but I still had to get back with the bike, I managed but in agony and with the help of my mate. I guess the moral of this painful experience is to ride with a mate or group so if this happens then help is at hand. I'm 53 yr old and as the true saying goes... one doesn't bounce as well the older one gets! Ps.. my bike was survived unscathed
  4. I agree with baldilocks 100%, steady away is the best way

    Evo Fuel

    In the UK 3 or 4 of the major forecourts / supermarkets sell their on brand of high octane named differnetly of course, surely high oct is high oct at whatever forecourt you get it, and of course its more expensive than normal unleaded, not so very long ago all 2Ts ran on the same mix as an lawnmower and they went all day with no problems or dramas l Recently Iv been using a Shell garage about 7 miles from where I live as it was the nearest and only one for V Power, Iv had 2 / 3 x 5 ltrs over the past two weeks and the bike has ran like crap !! Im sure that garage doesn't clean its tanks out often enough ( possible water and dirt in them ) and at £7 for 5 litres I aint going back as its cost me hrs of bike time which isn't good All in all though I guess its all trial ( pardon the pun lol ) and error and if it works ... use it

    Evo Fuel

    Dan - UK bud..... I guess this a subject that has been banded around for eternity.. High octane vs normal pump juice... I suppose we all want the best juice in our tanks but I wonder if there is really an argument as too which is best, I understand the reasons why we all like the higher oct juice but if you're stuck do we stick normal in or not stay at home lol I had a 2004 / 5 gassa txt pro a couple of yrs back and that ran equally as well on either, absolutely no difference but saying that I think the motor in them was bombproof ! I suppose there's one way to avoid this dilema... go 4T

    Evo Fuel

    As a rule Iv always used V Power in my 2 stokes, currently Im running a evo 250 and Shell garages seem to be getting scarce in my local area, any tips on alternative juice, it looks like standard unleaded for my next trip out. All views welcome

    Evo Rear Shock

    hi guys, just noticed today that my recently bought secondhand evo 250 seems to be sat low at the back end, I raised the bike up by lifting ) then let go, the back end sank back down again, Iv had the bike for about 2 weeks and been out quiet a bit, the rear shock has never bottomed out at all ( im 16 st ) and can ride it quite hard. Im just wondering if this is the norm ??? Any help would be great
  11. Yes it does Dan Williams, kicks over first time, idle is fine, its a bit flat ( blurts ) when revved hard, under load ( ridden ) its pretty flat and sluggish, smokey either standing or ridden. The only thing I can think of is the carb needs an overhaul, Iv changed fuel, oil, cleaned filter, new plug, adjusted mixture etc. A carb overhaul is beyond my capabilities at the minute so i will wait until next week to catch my local dealer. Im pretty much new to trials so all this is a learning curve for me, I get the basics so all help is a bonus. :}
  12. Maybe my TC posting skills are equally as poor as my mechanical skills ! When one doesn't know... one asks ! Thank you all who have positively replied to all my posts. Very much appreciated.
